COMMENT: Usually sold as frozen pulp to be mixed with fruits and cereal or used in the preparation of sorbets, sauces, mousses etc., this Amazonian fruit is about the size of a cherry, but with very little pulp surrounding a single round stone. The taste resembles a mixture of blueberry, red wine and dark chocolate. Açaí is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber, protein and healthy fats.
