COMMENT: Usually sold as frozen pulp to be mixed with fruits and cereal or used in the preparation of sorbets, sauces, mousses etc., this Amazonian fruit is about the size of a cherry, but with very little pulp surrounding a single round stone. The taste resembles a mixture of blueberry, red wine and dark chocolate. Açaí is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber, protein and healthy fats. For its high nutritional content, açaí pulp is especially enjoyed by sportsmen. Açaí palm trunk provides a top quality heart of palm.
